Not All Shea Butter Is Created Equal
Most shea butter comes from West Africa. Ours doesn't. Nilotica shea is locally called Lulu .It grows wild along the Nile basin in South Sudan and Uganda, and makes up less than 3% of the world's shea supply. It's softer, silkier, and higher in vitamins A and E than ordinary shea, which means it melts into skin on contact instead of sitting on top of it.
Every jar is cold-pressed, organic, and sourced through fair trade from small female-led cooperatives, so your purchase supports the women who harvest it by hand.
